Natural leather used in the production of Vero furniture is specifically prepared cowhide of various types and sizes. We use only the best, largest linings. The different types of Vero leathers differ from each other considerably. Different processes are used to die them and protect them, as they are subject to different types of use and different sunlight intensity. Some leathers are smooth, some are rough. There are also matt and glossy leathers.
The Vero collection offers a wide variety of carefully selected colours: from light, soft and elegant to dark, distinct and practical. We continue to introduce new colours and hues by carefully looking at market tendencies and our customers' needs and wishes.
These are the leathers used for covering the Vero upholstered furniture:
Madras type leathers – they are pigmented using a single colour and protected with impregnating varnish, which protects them against wear and the effects of ambient conditions. Their surface may be matt or glossy.
Federica type leathers – they are similar to the madras leathers but the finishing and softening processes are different, which results in a smoother and softer product.
Dual-colour leathers – two different colours are visible in those leathers. This effect is obtained using two methods: either by rubbing off the applied pigment or by applying (spraying) a layer of pigment over the primary pigment layer. The surfaces of dual-colour leathers is protected using varnish (therefore they are glossy),bwhich protects the pigment against wearing off (the second layer of pigment does not adhere as well as the base colour).
